TACT-
Non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational - Just passionate about green issues in the local community.
The intention was - and is - to create events focussed around both green issues and Transition Town awareness and work with local groups
already doing this work to raise more awareness, opportunities and
resources for the public to "get involved".
- Doing things in ways that
are practical, ethical and fun-filled whilst working within the Transition Town model and with local town councils and other groups.
- At the same time to inspire others, support further
transition projects - basically working towards that vision of a
resiliant sustainable future.
There are a great many folk out there involved in the Transition
movement - or just inspired towards community resiliance or "being more green". The more we
can work together, share resources, pool ideas - and have fun doing so -
the more we have the oppertunity to work towards resiliant sustainable
futures.
Our
intention with setting this up is to support, encourage and empower more groups of people to create projects they'd like to carry forward,
whilst working with the networks already in place.

There's so much
happening all ready too - even though a great deal of it isn't obvious. People are coming out the woodwork more and more with their passions, their ideas, their fears - and their hope for what we can create.... So if you have something you'd like to share
